Jambolana Safari Camp

Location: Situated on the periphery of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, Uttar Pradesh.

About: Situated on the periphery of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, along the river Suheli, overlooking the vast expanse of the Madrahia Grassland lies Jambolana; a tented safari camp. Nestled amongst a cluster of wild jamun trees (Eugenia Jambolana), from which the campsite derives its name, and spread over 25 acres, it is an ideal way to appreciate the complete jungle experience and get up close with what nature has to offer.

Jambolana was conceived with the aim of providing the “African Safari/Bush camp” feel in India, to enable all wildlife enthusiasts and like-minded travellers’ to view wild game; especially endangered species like the Royal Bengal Tiger and the One-Horned Rhinoceros, in their natural surroundings.

What makes Jambolana unique is that the adjoining Tiger Reserve is the only forest in India barring the North-Eastern region where the Tiger, Elephant, Crocodile and One-Horned Asian Rhinoceros can be found sharing their habitat.

Accommodation: In order to create an experience which resembled living within the jungle the campsite has been left to look as natural as possible, unlike other resorts and hotels, preserving its charm and feel of being within the confines of the tiger reserve.

We have two styles' of tents at Jambolana

Luxury Tent: A must-experience for every jungle enthusiast. Constructed on a raised wooden platform overlooking the Suheli, and into the Madrahia grassland of the tiger reserve, one gets a deep sense of being up-close with nature while residing here. It is better seen than described. We provide 3 tents with ensuite bathrooms along with a private wooden deck for each tent.

Safari Tent: are set amongst tall elephant grass surrounded by dense foliage that the campsite has to offer. These tents’ have non-attached, open air bathrooms giving a rustic feel and are suited to budget travellers’.

Dining Area
Ideal place to unwind after a long day of safari; relax while watching a wildlife documentary or just share experiences sitting around the bonfire getting to know other residents at the camp.

Meals: Set buffet with vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare prepared with fresh, locally grown organic ingredients.
